Student Leadership

We have an active Sixth Form Leadership Team comprised of Academy Presidents, Vice Presidents and other senior roles.

Our Sixth Form Team hold regular meetings to discuss all aspects of Sixth Form life and student voice within the lower years of the Academy. including academic topics, opportunities within the Academy/local community, fundraising and student-led social events.

Community Support

We want our students to not only achieve academically but to also leave at the end of Year 13 as responsible young adults who understand the value of giving something back to their community while at the same time learning vital skills to further develop them into well rounded individuals . The Community Placement Programmes requires all students to dedicate some time to volunteering within the school and local community.

What kind of roles will be available as part of the Community Placement Programme?

There is a wide range of positions available within the school community and students are encouraged to create their own positions. Some of the positions already available are:

  • Classroom Support
  • Academic Mentoring
  • Support with enrichment clubs
  • Reading Mentors
  • Sixth Form leadership team
  • Classroom Support in our local Primary Schools

Our Community

The excellent teaching and tutoring of our dedicated and experienced sixth form staff ensures high quality exam results, as well as providing additional opportunities and experiences for students. This is a learning environment where all students have the opportunity to be high achievers, make good friends, contribute to their community and take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Students find their years at our Sixth Form some of the most rewarding of their lives both socially and academically. It will prepare students for the next step, beyond Sixth Form, our Sixth Form is vibrant and friendly, supported by our two £30 million state-of-the-art buildings.
